The Colorado teen who set himself on fire in his high school cafeteria last month has died from his injuries. Vince Nett, 16, of Westminster, was pronounced dead around 5 p.m. Sunday at an area hospital after sustaining burns on 80% of his body, police said. Nett, a student at Standley Lake High School, injested a water bottle of bleach and doused himself with gallon of fuel in a perplexing and horrific suicide bid on Jan. 27.
Johanna (JoJo) Lowe, 13 — an eighth-grader at Tuskawilla Middle School in suburban Orlando — played the lead role in a suicide prevention video she made with her classmates in 2010. Weeks later, the teen was found hanging in her bedroom closet. And now her parents have filed separate lawsuits against the teen’s teacher, Joseph Fife and the Seminole County School Board — charging them of negligence in the girl’s death.
